Kerry Group has been named the most reputable food manufacturer in Ireland by Corporate Reputations.
The company announced the results of its annual Ireland RepTrak 2013 study at an event held recently in Dublin.
Now in its fourth year, the study measures the reputations of 100 firms in Ireland between January and February 2013, based on more than 14,000 consumer ratings from members of the general public.
Kerry Group ranked first among the firms studied with Superquinn coming in second.
An Post, Irish distillers and Dairygold all followed respectively making up the top five positions.
The independent study ranked how highly organisations are held in esteem, how much they are admired and trusted, and how good the general public feels about them. It also studied how an organisation was rated across the key dimensions of reputation, which are leadership, innovation, governance, workplace, performance, citizenship and innovation.
Stan McCarthy, CEO, Kerry Group, said: “In Kerry, we recognise that our reputation is critically important to all our stakeholders. The performance of the Group has benefited greatly from the strength of our customer alliances and the valued contributions of all our people. To be recognised in the RepTrak survey is appreciated by everyone connected with the Kerry organisation and is testimony to their commitment and continuous endeavours on behalf of the organisation.”
