Glanbia has appointed new members to its board and executive team. Siobhán Talbot today took over from John Maloney, who formally resigned from the Board as Group Managing Director, although he will remain with the business until the end of the year. Siobhán has served as Group Managing Director Designate since June in advance of John’s retirement. Siobhán has been a member of the board in Glanbia since 2009 and previously worked as Group Finance Director.
Chairman of Glanbia, Liam Herlihy, said, "The Board would like to thank John Moloney, not just for his outstanding contribution to the Group but also for enabling a seamless transition of the leadership of Glanbia to Siobhán Talbot, our new Group Managing Director."
Mark Garvey also joins Glanbia as Finance Director, having joined from Sara Lee Corporation where he was Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer until 2012. Since 1995, Mark held a number of senior finance roles in the Sara Lee organisation in the USA and Europe including Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Sara Lee North America with revenue of $6 billion and Group CFO of Sara Lee International with revenue of $8 billion.
